About

Centipede is a 1981 fixed shooter arcade game developed and published by Atari, Inc. Designed by Dona Bailey and Ed Logg, it became one of the most commercially successful titles of the golden age of arcade video games. Notably, it was also one of the first arcade games to attract a large number of female players. The objective is to destroy all the segments of a centipede as it winds its way down the playfield toward the player.
